Tank Battles

Armored combat across 20 battlefields with 131 procedural vehicles.

Tank Battles is a browser-native armored combat game embedded from its own origin. Command 131 first-party procedural vehicles across 20 battlefields with physical shell travel, plate-level armor geometry, internal component damage, guided missiles, magazine autoloaders, terrain-following suspension, and X-ray killcams under a fixed 60 Hz authority simulation. Five battle rules — Standard Battle, Capture the Flag, Zone Control, armed Turbo Ball, and the cooperative Endless Horde — run solo with bots or in persistent multiplayer rooms with chat, spectators, respawns, rematches, and dedicated ranked authority. Tank Gallery and Scene Studio let you inspect any vehicle live rig and armor, or stage and capture directed scenes.

How to play

Controls

  • Drive with W/A/S/D or the arrow keys, tap Space for the handbrake, and press F to self-right; the mouse aims the turret and left-click fires the selected gun.
  • Switch shells with 1/2/3, use consumables with 4/5/6, press E for the special action and C to reload the magazine; hold Shift for sniper mode, use right-click for the free-camera/aim slot, and roll the wheel to zoom.
  • Caps Lock holds the turret while the camera stays free; M zooms the minimap, L toggles the shot and damage log, F8 the performance overlay, and Esc the settings menu. Gamepad and complete touch controls (dual sticks, dynamic-aim fire, handbrake, scope) are supported.

Game features

  • 131 first-party procedural vehicles and 20 authored battlefields with destructible structures, persistent wrecks, and terrain-following suspension
  • Physical gunnery, plate-level armor, internal component damage, guided missiles, autoloaders, spotting, and X-ray killcams at a fixed 60 Hz authority
  • Five battle rules with solo bots, persistent private and LAN multiplayer rooms, chat, spectators, respawns, rematches, and dedicated ranked authority
  • Tank Gallery vehicle inspection and Scene Studio directing with reproducible capture, plus adaptive quality with SMAA/FSR and GPU recovery

Current limitations

  • The game runs as an embedded product from an independent origin (the tanks-web, signal, match, and turn services); that stack must be deployed and WebGL must be available for it to load.
  • The embedded runtime is English-only and does not follow the GameCenter language selector.
  • Public multiplayer relay requires the TURN external-ip and the tanks subdomain DNS to be configured; until then only solo, bots, and LAN or host-candidate matches are available.
